Personal Interests

Disability awareness and advocacy. While living in Florida, she had a gubernatorial appointment to the Family Care Council of Florida, a State Board which advocates for individuals with disabilities and their families. Additionally, she served as a Member of Miami Dade County Public School’s Superintendent’s District Advisory Panel for Students with Disabilities and Co-Chaired the Inclusion and Education Sub-Committee.
