Reverend J R Atkinson

My name is Reverend J R Atkinson. I’m the Senior Pastor of First Church of God-Marshville, Marshville N C. I love the Religious Studies Department. I am a non-non-traditional student. No, it’s not a typical error when I type ‘non’ twice–I am 70 years old and have supported three children through college, graduate school and one doctoral program. Five people within my family attended and graduated from UNC Charlotte–myself, two of my daughters, one granddaughter, and one daughter-in-law. Now it’s time for me to continue the mission I desire. I love learning about other religions and practicing without a judgemental attitude. Also, it has allowed me to teach within my own profession as a reverend and pastor, and I would like to teach on the university level.
